FINE ART

Fine art is the farthest point from photo-journalism. It is where the image has an aesthetic emphasis and interpretation. For my work, fine art reflects my intentionality to shape and create the final form. It may include an element of artifice, but without leaving the boundaries of being a photograph. The subject existed, external to the camera, when beginning the exposure, and it has been transformed before being finalized for display. Fine art is not a distortion, but a clarification of what I saw.
